  • Lot O 701 West Ostend Street Baltimore, MD, 21230 United States (map)

Donate to the Giving Tuesday Campaign!

This Small Business Saturday, join Trash Free Maryland and some of Baltimore’s favorite local breweries: Checkerspot Brewing Company, Pickett Brewing Company, Wico Street Beer Co, and M8 Beer Co to show love to their communities with a community litter cleanup.

Collect litter and earn a free beverage voucher from one of these amazing breweries as a thanks! 🍻

📍Location: Lot O - 701 W Ostend St, Baltimore, MD

🗓️Date: Saturday, November 30, 2024

⏰ Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm

Together, we’ll be collecting data on packaging and beverage containers to support an Extended Producer Responsibility for Packaging Bill, which aims to hold producers accountable for the packaging waste they create. Your counts provide data and help shape policies for Maryland to shift financial responsibility for packaging recycling and disposal to producers and to create incentives for better and more recyclable packaging design. ♻️

Plus, don’t miss out on our first-ever Bag It and Ban It Challenge! Pick up bags of trash and keep a mental tally of the packaging* and another mentally tally of beverage containers* you find. Send your totals to milan@trashfreemaryland.org and tag us on Social Media #BagItBanIt. The top three collectors of the most bags of litter will win a TFM t-shirt at the event!

Support our Giving Tuesday campaign, the mission of Extended Producer Responsibility, by donating during the month of November! Every contribution goes directly to education, advocacy, and community engagement. Donate Here.

Essentials will be provided including gloves, bags, and grabbers (feel free to bring your own!). Thanks to the Baltimore Community ToolBank for their support! This event is BYO(W)B, Bring Your Own Water Bottle! A refill station will be provided.
