ShoreRivers, Trash Free Maryland, Osprey Initiative, and the City of Cambridge are gathering to host a cleanup and event to celebrate the installation of a trash boom (trash interceptor) in Cambridge, MD. The trash boom will catch trash and litter and prevent it from flowing downstream to the Choptank River.
Volunteers are invited to join us for a litter pickup at 11:30am which will be followed by a brief ceremony at 1:00pm to learn about how the trash boom will work and the importance of preventing trash and litter from entering our waterways.
