Meet Our Interns!

This past year we have started a new internship program with college students in the area and we are thrilled to continue to provide students with valuable non-profit experience. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our two social media marketing interns as well as our new Grant Research intern so that our fellow supporters can get a feel for who is helping to represent the Trash Free Maryland organization as well as provide it new funding. We encourage you to reach out to them if you want to collaborate or contribute to our cause in any way.

Hannah Myers - Grant Research Intern

“I am a freshman at Montgomery College majoring in Environmental Science and Policy and although I am originally from Arizona, I have lived in Maryland for most of my life. A few consistent themes throughout my life have been a deep sense of wonder surrounding the natural world as well as the importance of cultivating healthy communities and TFMD seamlessly incorporates those two very important ideals of mine. So excited to be part of the team!”

Lauren Fluck - Social Media Marketing Intern

“I am a Senior at Towson University, graduating this upcoming spring semester with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Wanted to gain experience in social media marketing and communications and apply the skills learned at Towson to the position at Trash Free Maryland. I volunteered for Trash Free Maryland because of the importance of combating trash pollution and working toward more sustainable efforts in Maryland and hopefully throughout the country.”
